Interested in Exercising?
California State University Los Angeles is conducting a study to develop exercise equipment that better suits the needs of people with spinal cord injuries. They are looking for participants for this study who have spinal cord injuries.  You do not have to be actively exercising to be a part of this research. It will involve participating in a 10-week exercise program. You will also be asked to fill out a few questionnaires and take part in several interviews. Some but not all participants will receive exercise training on a body weight supported gait training device, standing frames, arm and leg cycles and adapted weight training machines. Your help in this project will contribute to the body of knowledge about exercise and people with spinal cord injury, and will help improve the types of exercise equipment available for people with spinal cord injury.
This research is being conducted at California State University, Los Angeles by Drs. Ray de Leon, Tamar Semerjian, and Jesus Dominguez.
If you are interested and want to know if you might be able to participate in the study, please contact Artin Davidian at (323) 343-5328.
